Ashley is a second year Ph.D. student studying mitochondrial transfer as a repair strategy for intervertebral disc disease.

Personal

Ashley grew up in Leesburg, VA, and moved to Richmond to complete her undergraduate studies at VCU. During her time at VCU, Ashley worked in a cellular biomechanics’ laboratory where she studied how mechanics govern the structure of 3D epithelium. In her free time, Ashley loves to cook and play video games.
