Dr. Jill Middendorf, who received her PhD in Mechanical Engineering working in the Bonassar Lab, will join the faculty in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University in Fall 2022. Jill received her BS in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University and her MS and PhD from Cornell. Since 2019 she has been a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Minnesota. Jill’s laboratory will use experimental and modeling approaches to investigate the mechanics of soft tissues in the spine and joints, with the goal of understanding mechanisms of disease and developing new therapies.
