Stephen Sloan, a PhD candidate in the Bonassar lab, was recently awarded a travel grant to attend the 2019 Association for Clinical and Translational Science Conference in Washington, DC. The grant was awarded through the Burroughs Wellcome Fund by the Translational Science 2019 Program Committee. Stephen will present an abstract titled “Combined Annulus Fibrosus and Nucleus Pulposus Repair Prevents Degeneration in the Ovine Lumbar Spine” that focuses on a regenerative medicine approach for treating degenerative disc disease.
